AsSalaamu Alaikum: Late nights, Laundry and Blogs
Posted in Disorganized Minds, Islamic Thoughts, Messages from Abdul, Uncategorized at 6:04 am by Abdul At-Tawwaab
AsSalaamu Alaikum,
I’ve been away for awhile from this site. Sometimes avoiding it purposely and other times just forgetting it existed. As the days go by I seek act to more than to write or talk because the latter two are cheap. I would rather be than deceive myself in believing I’m something that I am not. So, while I remind myself with the utterance of Ana min Al-Muslimeen. Ash-shadu Anla illaha illa Allah wa Ash-shadu anna Muhammad Ar-Rasulullah, I also like to perform the duties and obligations which come with me saying what I utter. Like my fiancee says, ” Don’t talk about it, be about it” I want to live up to my shahadah. Every day I realize Allahu Akbar! and it compels me to say Alhamdulillah and to ask for Istighfar because I’m not at the place I should be with my deen or my life. So instead of writing about it, I work on it . While I like to write,my thoughts remain in the back of mind while other things take precedence.
Alhamdulillah, on late nights like this, while I do laundry, I write my blogs and respond to interesting blogs of writers much more articulate than myself. Alhamdulillah. There was a time for my people reading was forbidden. We had to take tests but were never taught how to read or write. My grandmother had a seventh grade education. I’m completing my Master’s Degree. Alhamdulillah. The road does not end here and I am determined to avoid the mistakes of my many peers and predecessors. I think the prints are done, I’ll dry those and head to sleep. I have work in the morning. May Allah bless those who seek Truth for the sake of Allah. May Allah guide us and protect us from straying inshaAllah. May Allah forgive us our sins and strengthen us to continue to seek and work for His pleasure with us inshaAllah. Allahu Akbar!!! Ameen.

Ramadan Mubarak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted in Islamic Thoughts, Messages from Abdul, Uncategorized at 1:31 am by Abdul At-Tawwaab
AsSalaamu Alaikum,
On the second night of Ramadan, for all muslims who saw the moon on Sunday night, I write to all muslims, AsSalaamu Alaikum, Ramadan Mubarak!!!!! This blessed month has come around once again and Alhamdulillah, we are here to be part of it by the grace and mercy of Allah (S.W.T.). What a mercy it is to reach the month of Ramadan. What a blessing it is, Alhamdulillah. Days before while I was neglecting my blog, I was so excited about Ramadan, the small confusion of moon sightings between masjids don’t appeal to me but I was definately excited about the prospect of fasting another 29 or 30 months fisibililaah. Alhamdulillah. So on the first day of fasting, second night, for me, I went to the local masjid which is now in repair as it is new, Alhamdulillah, and ate iftaar with my brethren in Islam. We sat listening to a lecture about preparing for Ramadan and leaving that which is haraam and not becoming a muslim for this month, when it occurred to me, I had some responsibilities I had to take care of outside of the masjid. So I ate my food, gave my salaams and exited the masjid. Alhamdulillah, in the beginning of Ramadan, I am reminded of what I prayed that I’d remember at the end of last Ramadan. This is the preparation time for they year inshaAllah. I feel a weight has been lifted off of me and I am now free to do the things that I need to do, take hold of my responsibilities inshaAllah, with no excuse or stagnation. Allah has blessed me with so many ideas on how to give and now I must do something inshaAllah. May Allah bless the muslims this Ramadan, may He bless us to see the end of it and work righteous deeds for the sake of Him throughout the month inshaAllah. May He bless our families to come together and unite under the banner of La ilaha illa Allah inshaAllah. May He bless us to strive hard in His Cause. May He (S.W.T.) bless us with wisdom, knowledge and understanding and bless us to use that which He blesses us with for the sole purpose to please Him (S.W.T.) inshaAllah.
Ameen
My dear muslim brothers and sisters, enjoy this Ramadan inshaAllah. I love you all for the sake of Allah.

I owe you…. Message from Abdul.

AsSalaamu Alaikum,
Alhamdulillah!!!! What a summer! Work never ends and priorities are shifted. I’ve returned to free my mind of some thoughts and analysis that’s been running in my mind for that last, oh I don’t know how long…
The Skinny…. and this is for myself first as well as whoever reads this….
Muslims should research Islamic history and not be afraid of what they find. We are all Muslim and we are not held accountable for what men of the past have done. We are held accountable for our deeds and Allah is the Judge. Keeping that in mind, when studying any history, but Islamic history in particular, we must bear witness to the truth of what has occurred in the past but not Judge or think badly about what we read. It literally is what it is. We should read the history to understand how our present situation has come into being. InshaAllah we can make the right modifications and make things better for ourselves in this life and in the akhira inshaAllah. Don’t mind the naysayers and kafirs who take things of our religion or history to use it against us. Allah (S.W.T) is our Lord and Judge and we have to answer to Him, not the kafir.
Unshackle your minds and look at what is occurring today. I’m not focused on Kafir or non-muslims. Muslims are killing muslims, no matter whether they are shia, sunni, salafi, sufi, wahabi or whatever. In reality we are all one ummah. We should stop dividing ourselves into these sects. The Prophet (S.A.W.) has prophecied about these sects. It is not befitting for a muslim to call another muslim a kafir, which some of us do. Remember the warning, if a muslim calls another muslim a kafir, one of them are. That’s warning to both parties because if the muslim being a accused is actually a believer then the accuser is a kafir. This is from Hadith.
Muslims should learn and study arabic. All muslims should learn arabic. I personally do not feel comfortable with English translations. I’d rather read the real thing for myself. Nor do I like another person’s interpretation. I don’t take interpretation as truth. Allah is truth and man is not Allah. So in turn, a man can be mistaken in his interpretation.
The Qur’an tells us to think, understand, reflect, ponder and so on. We should do so. And in doing so inshaAllah we realize we have no guidance or light but the light and guidance of Allah and if He does not guide us then we are certainly astray.
Islam is the middle way, and as muslims we should be moderate. Not extreme on either way. Men should not be giving death threats to muslim women who perform in the olympics. Women have rights and should understand the rights they have as women, creation of Allah and as muslims. Men should respect all women and do not seek to impose their will or interpretations over them, especially if they have no relation to them. If you are not the woman’s father or husband, or relative, your advise or steps to right what you feel is wrong only goes but so far and we should observe the limits. The reason I speak of this, I’m tired of hearing stories from muslims of muslims abusing their women. Women are people too and should be treated gently. I find that cultural influences go a long way with how many muslims interpret Islam. Allahu Allum. One cannot force one’s caution on another person. Period. And many things in Islam are due to interpretation and moderation. Many things are Allahu Allum. So don’t take it upon yourself to be the all knowing of something that isn’t. If it works for you Alhamdulillah, but if others do not want to follow it, and it is not an issue of clear kufr or haraam action, but it is permissable or due to interpretation, make duah, worship and praise your Lord to guide us all aright inshaAllah.
Muslims need to unite under the banner of La ilaaha ill Allah wa Muhammadan RasullAllah. We as an ummah are being persecuted by kufar and by our fellow muslims. And who is looking at the sign of the times and reviewing the prophecies of our Prophet (S.A.W.)?
I don’t want to seem like I know it all. I don’t. Allahu Allum
I am concerned with the state of the ummah and for that matter mankind.
My solution is to work on myself and be the best muslim I can be inshaAllah and instill Islam those who follow me and fully submit to Allah (S.W.T) inshaAllah
May Allah guide us all aright inshaAllah.

Okay Enjoy Father’s Day. One should hold their parents dear everyday. I’ve heard a lot of muslims say mother’s day and father’s day is bid’ah and such things. No, it is a custom of the people not an innovation to Islam. The one thing I do have to say about the matter out of the many things on my mind is this – don’t let this be the only day you treat your father nice. Even if he wasn’t there for you. Lord knows there are absentee fathers, whether they not there period, or whether, they didn’t take care you, fufil their responsibilities as husbands or fathers.Allah is watching and is swift to take account. Pray for fathers this day and everyday. Allah has made them the direct cause of your existence and that’s something you can’t change and should be thankful for. Pray for your parents, Allah knows their condition and your condition. InshaAllah Allah bless our parents and guide them to His Light and bless them with Jannah in the Akhira inshaAllah.

A’oothu billahi minash-Shaytaanir-rajim
“رَضِيتُ باللهِ رَبَّاً، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِيناً، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَى اللهُ عَلِيهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيَّاً”.
Radheetu billaahi Rabban, wa bil-Islaami deenan, wa bi-Muhammadin sallallahu alayhi wa salaama Nabiyyan
AsSalaamu Alaikum,
Islam is a beautiful religion. It is the middle way in which one has the opportunity many times to do one thing or the other, both are permissible. There are sometimes within seeking knowlede when the seeker becomes, shall we say, polarized by what he’s taught, one starts to feel ones self. One must never forget, Laa hawla wa laa quwatta ‘illaa billaah. There is no power and no might except by Allah.
To Allah belongs all knowledge and praise. Don’t allow the outcast Shaytaan to influence you to be arrogant about the knowledge Allah has blessed you with. Don’t be quick to judge another because of what you know. Praise Allah and Seek refuge in Allah. Shaytaan would love to cause enmity between muslims, whether it be by difference of sect, race, gender, culture, madhab or who’s giving spreading the knowledge to you. We are muslim. Allah has made us an Ummah, a nation, A brotherhood and sisterhood. Why should we divide what Allah has made for us. He (S.W.T) has completed His favour to us. InshaAllah The Most Gracious Allah guide us aright and forgive us our sins inshaAllah. Be pleased with your Lord, religion and Prophet inshaAllah. And as I remind you all I remind myself.
Laa’ilaaha ‘illallaah There is no god but Allah.

AsSalaamu Alaikum,
Okay everyone this is a new blogger and a brand spankin’ new blog. So here’s the skinny. My computer is down. I’m currently in the local library getting this stuff but I left my article at home. We have a word for that type of stuff but if I say it then … well let’s just say no to saying that word.
Future things for The Seeker of Knowledge blogsite.
I will be posting a series of articles discussing “How to save the community”
Now you make ask yourselves, what is this crazy muslim talking about? Religious, ethnic, political, global…GLOBAL!!!!
No, in fact I’m talking about your neighborhood, the neighborhoods in which we live in. Do we consider them communities and if not how can we come together?
The purpose of the series of articles is to work on my writing skills. Well, yes and no. The second reason is to engage the internet blogger “community” to get their feelings, opinions and ideas of how our local communities can unite to provide a more efficient way of living inshaAllah. We all have to live in this world together. I have some poetry, some funny stuff ( if think my sense of humor is funny) and some other things. I came to get things published. but enough talk.
